Wimbledon
Nannies always seeks to find
the most suitable job for nannies; we never put any pressure
on you to
take a job you are not sure about; you will never be required
to pay us any fee. Whether or not you are registered with us,
if you have a query or need advice feel free to email
or call us
on 020 8947 4666
For
nannies new to the area, we can offer a nanny contact list and
details of local activities and amenities. For some nannies it may
the first time away from home and finding friends can be extremely
important in helping them settle into a new job. Once a nanny has
commenced employment we can introduce them to other nannies in the
area.

Qualifications
Some
applicants become nannies purely by gaining experience (we
require sole charge nannies to have a minimum of 2 years experience)
rather than qualifications: however, if you wish to find out more
about obtaining relevant qualifications click
here or contact your local college, which should be able to
give you advice on the differing childcare courses available in
your area.
Newly Qualified Nannies
If
you are a newly qualified nanny you might find a job quickly as
some clients look for newly qualified nannies, however, if you
find it more difficult we recommend that you accept a mother's
help position in the first instance, in order to gain some
experience working in a family environment; such experience can
make it easier for you to secure a sole charge nanny position as
your second position.
We
are always available to offer any advice needed by the Client or
the Nanny, particularly during the initial settling in stage. Once
an applicant has begun employment, we are always on the other end
of the phone to ensure that both parties are settling in
well.

and potential employer.

What
happens now?
During
your interview with us we will discuss your requirements in detail
to ensure that your needs are met as much as possible when putting
your details forward for potential new positions. Thereafter, we
will verify your references in writing or verbally and compile a
profile and, if necessary, a CV for you, which will be forwarded
to clients whose vacancies correspond to your requirements.
How are the interviews with prospective employers arranged?
Once
you express an interest in a vacancy and the client indicates the
wish to progress to
interviewing potential candidates we give you the client's
telephone number so that you may telephone them directly.
Occasionally, clients might ring you directly, but only once you
have been informed of that. When attending for interviews we ask
you to bring along your portfolio, including your own references.
We will advise you on how to conduct the interviews.

they come in.
Any
job offer and acceptance may be made either at initial interview,
